Use * to search for part of a word, for instance ‘cin*’. If you enter only *, all records associated with that search field will be selected. This way, you can find all companies that have distributed films by entering an asterisk in the search field ‘film title in distribution’. If you enter several different words in a search field at once, you will not only search for that combination, but also for those words in that particular order. Whatever you enter, your search result will only be a list of companies. The ‘index’ button is visible to the right of some search fields. This button opens a pop-up window with an alphabetical list of all possible values for that field. By clicking on one of these values, that value is entered into the search field for you while you are automatically returned to the search page.
